Brief Overview

Orlando Pirates Sport Club is based in Windhoek, the capital of the Republic of Namibia. The football club is an affiliated member and a prominent feature in the Namibia Premier League [NPL], the pre-eminent domestic association football in Namibia.

At the beginning of the 2010–11 seasons, The People’s Team entered into a sponsorship agreement in 2010 with First National Bank Namibia [FNB] and this resulted into to the club being renamed to FNB Orlando Pirates.

History
Founded as Orlando Pirates Sport Club in 1963 and its playing history are deeply entrenched in the black and white colors of Orlando Pirates. The club is no stranger to winning and is one of the most successful football clubs in the country, which includes winning the prestigious Namibia Premier League [NPL] title twice and also the Namibia Football Association [NFA] Cups three-time.

Our Finishing in the top three-spots in the last two [2009/’10 & 2010/’11] domestic league campaigns has generated much excitement among the club’s vast fan-base, extended throughout Namibia.

FNB Orlando Pirates FC is a multicultural football club with a nationwide support base in the country, thus reputed to be the most popular football club in Namibia.

Since the beginning of the 2008–09 season, The People’s Team plays its home-matches at City of Windhoek's prominent 10,300 seating capacity Sam Nujoma Stadium, located in Andrew Mogalie Street, Katutura.
